Hello,
My name is Sarah Hewlett, I’m a fully qualified and insured Reflexologist, working from lovely therapy rooms in Exeter, Topsham and Cullompton, Devon.
If you are looking for a natural and holistic way to help you take good care of yourself, Reflexology could support you on many different levels.
For example… Improving sleep, digestion, energy level, low mood or reducing painful aching joints, tension, anxiety and so much more.
We are all amazing, complex beings. Life can feel wonderful on some days and rather gnarly, on others! Effecting us physically, mentally, creatively and emotionally.
So, I listen and work with you.
Offer a compassionate approach, understand that only you have experienced your life and know how that feels.
Every treatment is individually personalised and focused.
In a calm environment, to help you relax deeply, feel supported, enjoy some quiet stillness and reconnect with yourself.
After 20 years as a therapist, I’m still in awe and delighted by the many positive benefits Reflexology brings to my clients.
I also love to share Self-Care tips and ideas, for you to use during your daily life….
I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists.
Improving digestion, sleep patterns, easing muscular tightness, reducing anxiety and so much more.
People come for many different reasons, these are some of the most frequent ones…
We treat the whole person, not just symptoms to restore natural balance and improved sense of wellness.
Reflexology does not diagnose conditions or claim to cure, it is a complimentary treatment to be used alongside conventional medicine. If you are currently having any medical tests or treatments please discuss before booking an appointment.
Reflexology is a wonderful way to support and maintain natural balance by energising and cleansing.
Our bodies and minds are constantly communicating and adjusting, sending chemical messages to help keep us well, safe and feel the best we can.
Reflexology can induce a deep state of relaxation which improves the effectiveness of the treatment and feels wonderful.
Relaxation and conscious breathing helps relieve physical and emotional tensions.
When we are more relaxed it helps improve our circulation, the flow of oxygen, nutrients and hormones to energise and release toxins and negativity, to cleanse and balance us.
We all know that taking good care of ourselves is important.
What helps you to feel better?
Perhaps it’s eating well, being active, spending time in nature, relaxation, doing something creative…
Ongoing Reflexology treatments can be a particularly enjoyable part of having a healthy maintenance plan…
Helping us to regularly make time to listen to our own needs and feel supported, a priority as we navigate and flourish through our daily lives.
Reflexology is a natural therapy based on the understanding that your feet and hands are a reflection of the systems in your body – where specific areas correspond to organs, glands and structures.
By applying gentle pressure to these areas in the feet or hands a Reflexologist can stimulate the body’s own natural healing ability to restore a more healthy balance.
Evidence has been found in Egypt and China of Hand and Foot therapies being performed, over 4000 years ago.
Reflexology is becoming more accepted as an effective complimentary treatment and often used in NHS settings.
In recent times, there are small research projects being carried out around the world, using new scientific technology, to increase and develop our knowledge and show evidence of how this amazing therapy works.

I will contact you prior to your appointment, take a quick Covid Risk assessment, to confirm we are both well..
When you arrive, I’ll ask you about your medical history and listen to how you are currently feeling. Then we can get started, I make sure you are comfortable on the couch and wash your feet to prepare for the treatment.
We start with relaxing breathing techniques to help you settle in and focus on releasing any tension, you are holding and calming your thoughts.I use a warming massage to begin, then thumb pressure more firmly into the reflex points.
Some areas might feel tender for a moment, numb, hot, or cold… all signs of tension that indicate where I need to loosen and release that imbalance. Most people drift in and out of deep relaxation, aware of the treatment and a sense of peace. Then as we come to the end of the session, I will give you time to wake up and have a glass of water.
After a treatment you may feel chilly and very relaxed so it’s wise to be gentle with yourself. So, it’s a good idea to keep warm, drink plenty of water and plan to have a quiet time…
Generally not, as the pressure we use is firm enough to feel comfortable.
No, treatments are a great way to take time out and cherish yourself, strengthen your wellness and support your resilience.
Please don’t feel awkward, hard skin and chipped nail varnish is very normal!
You will be welcomed and leave with softer skin…
